Florida Orthopaedic Institute and OrthoCare Floridas five practices have merged to form the largest orthopedic practice in Florida, according to a press release. The group will take the Florida Orthopaedic Institute name.
Both practices share the same values and commitment to providing world-class, patient-centered care,Roy Sanders, MD, president and chief medical officer at Florida Orthopaedic Institute, said in the release. This bond will allow us to continue leading the way in terms of innovative technology and services.
The merger will reportedly serve more than 150,000 patients through its 17 locations in Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, Palm Harbor, Sun City Center, Wesley Chapel, Largo, St. Petersburg, New Port Richey, Trinity and Clearwater, Florida. There will also be two orthopedic urgent care centers and eight outpatient surgery centers expanded in this combination.
