Not Sure Where To Go For Care

Express Care Clinics are not the right choice for wounds needing stitches or excessive bleeding! In that case, please visit one of our emergency rooms immediately. In non-emergency situations, you can also see a provider with a virtual visit from your laptop, tablet or smart phone using the MyClevelandClinic app.

It’s Only The Second Ortho Express Care Opened By The Cleveland Clinic

Spectrum Urgent Care Canton Ohio

SOLON, OH The Cleveland Clinic has opened its second Ortho Express Care. The service will be offered at the Solon Family Health Center. The facility will offer walk-in care for patients that have common orthopedic issues.

There are a variety of minor acute injuries, such as simple fractures, sprains and swollen joints, that need prompt medical attention but do not require an emergency department visit, said Dr. Brendan Patterson, interim chair of Cleveland Clinics Orthopaedic & Rheumatologic Institute. It was important for us to improve access outside traditional business hours to provide specialized care for these type of injuries.

The Ortho Express Care in Solon, at 29800 Bainbridge Road, will be open Monday through Sunday, though hours will vary.

Are Virtual Visits Covered By Insurance

Some insurance companies will cover virtual visits. It is best to confirm your benefits with your insurance company prior to your visit. Cleveland Clinic will bill your insurance first, and you will only be responsible for any remaining charges.

Please note that facility fees apply to virtual visits. Virtual visit facility fees support the necessary digital health technology and healthcare services of a provider, which would otherwise be delivered in an outpatient setting. The way your insurance covers facility and/or treatment room charges will be different based on whether you have insurance through your employer, another insurance company or if you are covered by Medicare.

Virtual visits are still an option for you, even if your insurance company does not cover them.

Go Ortho Opens Beachwood Orthopedics Urgent Care Facility

BEACHWOOD, Ohio — Many people in immediate need of treatment for an ache, sprain or other orthopedic discomfort have experienced a frustrating process.

“You might go to an emergency room and end up with a $3,000 bill and a card saying that an will see you in three weeks,” said Dr. Scott Zimmer of GO Ortho in Beachwood. “And most times you’ll get a temporary splint in an ER.”

GO Ortho, which was founded three years ago by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Reuben Gobezie at Ahuja Medical Center, and which moved in May to new offices at 3755 Orange Place, specializes in providing immediate, comprehensive care for joint, muscle and bone problems.

“GO Ortho makes it easy for patients to get the right type of care, right away,” Gobezie said. “Urgent care centers or emergency rooms may not be equipped to provide the comprehensive care for orthopedic injuries that you would receive at an orthopedic office.”

While it may take weeks after an emergency room visit to see the orthopedic doctor a patient needs, Gobezie said, “At GO Ortho, you are immediately seen by a specialist for the type of care you need.”

Adds Zimmer, “Over 95 percent of orthopedic injuries can be seen at a center like GO Ortho. There is a niche for this. You get the right diagnoses, with the right treatment, right now, with the right doctor.”

The facility also has the ability to immediately provide bracing, splinting, injections, pediatric orthopedics, ultra sounds, x-rays and MRIs.
