What Are People Saying About Associates In Orthopedics
Here are some reviews from our users.
“staff is very nice and I had a good experience during my first visit there with Dr. Armitage. found out during that visit I needed surgery to repair a torn labrum in my shoulder. I called to see what the doctor’s schedule looked like in regards to doing the surgery and they asked me to come in I got to the appointment early, but ended up waiting for over an hour before I had to walk out without seeing anyone as I had work meetings to attend, that I had scheduled around the appointment they had suggested. Office seems very short staffed and overbooked.I will most likely book my surgery with another office now, and will most likely not be going back. Also, please don’t bother trying to bill me for this appointment, no services were rendered! For this reason I cannot recommend this office in good faith, although I had had a good experience there my first visit.”
Assessing Your Individual Needs
As a patient, its important to know that our orthopedic surgeons will first try to develop non-surgical solutions to address your needs. If surgery does turn out to be necessary, our orthopedic surgeons and Center staff will educate you on the procedure and the recovery process. As you attend Joint Class, you will be thoroughly educated about what to expect before, during, and after surgery. We will tell you about preparing for surgery, pain management during and after surgery, and recovery. Our goal is to help you regain mobility as quickly and painlessly as possible.
Orthopedic Excellence In Southwest Florida Since 2003
Orthopedic surgeons Dr. Steven Baker and Dr. Robert Hansell have been serving the southwest Florida communities of Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte since 1983 and 1995, respectively. In 2003, they came together to form Associates in Orthopedics and have since added Dr. John Braut and Dr. Stephen Schroering. All of our skilled orthopedic and sports medicine experts are dedicated to providing the highest quality, most individualized orthopedic services in the area.
At many orthopedic practices, you are more likely to interact with a physician assistant and have very limited face time with the doctor. However, at Associates in Orthopedics, we dont utilize physician assistants, so you can be guaranteed quality one-on-one attention from our doctors. The reviews we have gotten from our patients speak for themselves.
Our orthopedic physicians are highly regarded within the Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte medical communities, and they have a reputation for not practicing factory medicine. That is, they recognize that every patient is unique. Even if two patients have the same diagnosis, they may require or respond to different treatments. And the doctors believe in pursuing conservative, non-surgical treatments first surgery is almost always a last resort.
From advice to expert surgery, our doctors are among the most capable and respected orthopedic surgeons in the Punta Gorda – Port Charlotte area. To schedule an appointment, call our office at or request an appointment online.
