On March 20, we made the decision to close our office due to the worsening health crisis. We did so with an eye on eventually reopening, not knowing when or how that would take place. We knew our patients in the interim would need a way to continue to receive the care they have come to AOST for, in a manner that was safe and appropriate for this challenging situation. We began to offer telehealth services, providing continued skilled physical therapy tailored to each individuals needs. This allowed us to continue to work with our patients in achieving their goals and regaining optimum function.

With these and other enhanced procedures in place, we have reopened our office for treatment, and are currently scheduling appointments. For those who choose not to come to the office, we will also continue to offer telehealth sessions. Ryan S. Kerbel has always been intrigued by medical sciences, has a passion for helping others, and is respected for his professionalism, enthusiasm, knowledge and friendliness. From a young age, he has envisioned himself as a primary health care professional, and chose to become a Chiropodist/Foot Specialist, practicing at Foot Medical Centre in Aurora, Ontario.

Ryan graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree , majoring in biology and premedical sciences from York University. During his undergrad, he shared his enthusiasm for medical sciences by becoming a chapter leader for Project Sunshine Toronto, and the president of York Universitys Hospital Volunteer Association. He then studied Podiatric Medicine at the Michener Institute, where he graduated with an Advanced Graduate Diploma in Chiropody .

Ryan has gained invaluable experience from many clinical environments whose primary focus was on podiatric dermatology, wound care and orthotic therapy, and many community health centres that specialized in diabetic foot care. He has special interest in sports medicine diabetic foot care childrens foot care biomechanics of the lower limb and custom made orthotics.

Ryan is a registered member with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario , the Prince Edward Island Podiatry Association , the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine , and the Canadian Association of Wound Care .
